Every Malaysian should read it. The sad thing is, the 'slur' is now being made to be the 'pride' of UMNO who is championing it. The powers that be is far from being embarrassed. I am sure the man will reduced to tears if he had heard the CM of his state (Johore) urging the government to remove the 'merit based policies' in universities and remove the requirement for English in Science and Maths because it 'hampers' the Malays... I am sure many of us are embarrassed but until our revered leaders feel the same way and the mindset is changed, then the 'slur' will remain. Perhaps people like the CM of Johore should read this book....but I guess it will not happen until Dewan Bahasa provides him a translation eh? The book is such an eye opener.
